Lisa Raymer, artist.

I was told countless times in art college that my penchant for photorealism was worthless. I bought that lie. Struggling for a good part of my artist life, catering to outer voices, suppressing my own.

Ant on a hot rock.

Created work, traditional, impressionistic, shows, sales, but something just wasn’t right.

Pandemic shut down.

Uninterrupted time.

Oil paints abandoned.

Damn the torpedoes.

Each new drawing or painting, abstracted realism, my artistic vision tightens.

Extensive body of new work.

Several series ongoing.

Can’t wait to get into the studio every morning.

Full speed ahead.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not have an extensive gallery show/awards pedigree. (Awards during my college years are ancient history)

Due to Life, extensive career as a successful entrepreneur, etc… I created art, but not the quantity nor cohesive quality I felt was show worthy. I would appreciate your consideration of my current art on it’s face value.
