After many years of painting landscapes in oil, even with successful shows and sales, I found something was missing in my creative soul. My true artistic voice emerged in 2020, spending time as most did in pandemic isolation. It gave me quiet time to reflect on where my art has been, what I have created, and where I want it to go. That direction moving forward, is in abstract realism, mainly in colored pencil. It allows me the extreme realism I have always gravitated towards, but adds the challenge of finding and portraying abstractions I see in everyday life. Endlessly inspired, I can’t wait to get into my studio each morning. I have numerous series developing and add more pieces each week or so. Fine Arts degree from Sam Houston State University.
Studied portraiture in London, England, working as a street artist.
Numerous art awards in college years. Entrepreneur ventures took most focus away from my art for many years but gradually devoted more time back to creating artwork. I now am a full-time artist.
