Lisa Raymer, artist.
.Originally from Texas, I moved to Portland, Oregon, in 2012. I graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX, with a Fine Arts degree and all level teaching certification. I received the only art recognition award SHSU offered, the Joseph Polley Paine Art Award. I spent time in the mid-80s in London, England, studying portraiture and doing street portraits at Piccadilly Circus. Through many years as an entrepreneur in product design, craft and retail importing, art was always woven into my creativity. Currently, I work with two different mediums – egg tempera and watercolor pencils, allowing me options on how best to portray my creative vision. I teach both mediums at Oregon Society of Artists. I joyfully step into my studio every day, stand at my easel and create.
